As the County Clerk, one responsibilities is to be the Clerk of the County Board. A top priority of Pete Duncan in that role has been to create a new level of openness in County government. In 2013, Duncan launched the
MacoupinMinutes.com website, a major step forward in open, transparent government by putting information about the County Board’s operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Just a few of the features of that website include:
- Over 40 years of County Board minutes available
- A full listing of all future meetings and with their agenda and packet information listed
- A voting and attendance record for all Board members since 2013
- Email sign ups to be notified about Board meeting agendas
